Yet another Biodiversity lab (oh, how I love Science!) We collected insects and other invertebrates from the schoolyard and examined their characteristics under a microscope (treating them gently, of course)!
Clubs Day and Superhero Long Division (some days you just need to wear a cape!) ;)
Girls' fitness! :) We followed a fitness video (quite hilariously, I might add haha).
Yet another Biodiversity lab! Examining various plant and animal slides under the microscope!
Biodiversity Scavenger Hunt + Sampling! Both Grade 6 classes took a nature walk to Major Abbas Ali Park. Along the way, we filled out Biodiversity scavenger hunt sheets! Once at the park, we sampled circle plots i) in the field and ii) in the forested area, describing what plants and animals we observed within each of our sampling sites.
Biodiversity Lab! We got to head over to the Science lab Alhamdulillah and examine various specimens under microscopes! :)

Math activity- students had to go out in the hallway in groups and make estimations about how much space a million of an object would take up. It's nice for them to get out of the classroom at times :)

Social Studies lesson. We talked about the importance of the subject in our lives and then did a Value Line- about the importance of having a monarchy in Canada.

Open House with parents! Jazakallah to the students for helping me set up and to all the parents who attended! It was a pleasure meeting all of you Alhamdulillah.
Charity Week- dressing up in Syrian/Palestinian colours.
